Adding default cover page data
Use the address book to store fax numbers that you may fax multiple times.
Click 'Add to address book' and enter a name and the fax number.
To use an address book entry, click on the Address Book picklist and select the recipient. It will appear in the Number field. Click the green arrow to confirm/add it to the 'Numbers to Fax' area. Then follow the rest of the basic steps covered above.

You can also view the fax by clicking on the download arrow on the right.
The pdf file into is first converted into an image suitable for faxing. It is then sent over the PSTN phone network like a regular fax. This can take a few minutes. The status will update to show progress, going from:
Loading -> Converting -> Pending -> Sending -> Success/Fail.
You can click on the status to get details of the transmission.
If you have been setup for fax to email, incoming faxes will come to your email from 'fax@callerip.ca' with the subject 'Fax from' and the sender's name/number if available. The fax itself will be attached as a pdf file.
Watch for phishing/scam emails that pose as faxes. Your faxes should be in the format shown here.
See the fax settings area for instructions on how to edit who automatically receives faxes.
Click on Incoming in the upper left area to see faxes received by your organization.
You can assign a category from the category by clicking on '(not set)' under the Category column.
The category choices can be set in the fax settings area.
You can also enter a free form note pertaining to the fax by clicking on '(not set') under the Note column.
PDF Drop is an exciting new feature that allows people to fax you, even if they don't have a fax machine.
Direct your client to: http://faxhound.com/pdfdrop
The client enters your fax number and clicks send
The client fills out their name, email (if they want confirmation once the fax has been delivered) and any note or memo.
The client then selects the PDF to send and clicks upload.
The file is converted into a new, faxed version stripped of any code or metadata.
The fax transmission of the file then begins.
A checksum is given to the client. This can be used to verify that the document sent by the client and the document received are the same file.
All of the items covered in this section are accessed by first clicking on Settings in the upper right area.
Then click the edit button for the fax line you want to manage.
As shown here, you can have multiple fax lines with different permissions and other settings. For example different offices can have their own fax lines and numbers, or different departments within your company.
You can allow all users access to send and receive faxes. Or you can select specific users.
You can make custom category labels that can then be applied to incoming faxes. This way you can later find important faxes easily. The categories drop down list is managed here. The incoming fax page is where you can view and assign the labels you created here.
(also see View incoming faxes using your web browser)
Enter the categories one at a time in the 'Category Name' field and click on Create.
